Function

As an Application/R&D Lab Technician you will be working at IMEC in Leuven. You will be cooperating with our dynamic team of motivated Application and R&D colleagues. Together with these colleagues you will be supporting our R&D projects regarding the development of new chemical formulations and their applications towards our customers.

Job Description

  • You execute functional testing in Fujifilm’s time slots at imec’s 200 mm and 300 mm cleanrooms. This includes the full execution of the photolithography process: coating silicon wafers, exposure, and development, followed by extensive metrology and inspections of the thin film coatings and patterns
  • You are responsible for the execution of many tests regarding the material characterization, defect measurements and pattern quality analysis; You will learn how to operate a wide range of semiconductor processing equipment
  • You will perform first level troubleshooting find solutions for hardware problems or process-related issues. Together with our engineers, you analyse how to avoid these problems find sustainable solutions.
  • You occasionally perform analytical testing of chemicals or thin films
  • You report your results and follow-up your statistical data
  • You contribute daily towards our safety culture by following our policy and guidelines; you report any risks that need to be taken care of.

Profile

We are looking for:

  • Bachelor Chemistry or equivalent by experience,
  • Semiconductor processing experience, especially in photolithography, is nice to have; On-job training will be provided
  • Experience in statistical analysis of data sets is nice to have
  • You have strong planning skills and you would enjoy working in a fast-paced high-tech environment
  • You can multi-task and prioritize assignments
  • Critical attitude, eye for details during the testing and during the analysis of the results
  • Fluent in English
